Hi I’m Ellen, mom of three and owner of the Flour Barn. I love gardening and my favorite breakfast is an egg and fried bologna sandwich. My favorite book has always been Walk Two Moons and my hobby is finding ways to avoid the grocery ☺️. My husband and I recently moved into my childhood home in order to be closer to the bakery, and we couldn’t be more excited for our children to grow up outside on a farm.
I love to cook and bake and experiment to see just how much we are capable of in our own kitchens. No, I don’t think you have to eat homemade bread and make your own pancake syrup, but isn’t it kind of amazing that we can? That we are so capable of so much if we take the time to read and learn and try new things? That’s what I love.
